GCF is a 501 (c) (3) organization that grants the ninth life to cats in need. Our mission is simple. Help cats and the people who love them.

By raising funds, providing resources, and advocating for collaboration, we reduce owner surrenders. Through community outreach and animal welfare education initiatives, we increase adoptions for cats that are disproportionately euthanized.

42%* of cat surrenders are caused by owners feeling ill-equipped to care for their aging animals and their associated medical or behavioral problems. Additionally, disabled, medically dependent, and senior cats are disproportionately euthanized due to a lack of resources.

The majority of owners who surrendered their animals cited a lack of basic feline care education or were unaware of the resources available to them to keep their beloved pets. 46%* of owners learned to care for cats through word of mouth, and were unaware that they didn’t have to relinquish them to act in the cat’s higher interest. The truth is, no matter what you can or cannot offer them, where the cat is loved is always the best home.

That's why we are proud to support a diverse range of like-minded cat welfare organizations throughout the United States. We provide funding for the shelters, rescues, community groups, and initiatives that need it most. We continually strive to identify the most pressing needs within the feline welfare community and find innovative ways to support them via our partnerships and campaigns. 100% of all donations go toward our mission and directly improve a cat’s life.
